D’Anya graduated from Franklin High School with a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certificate. She spent her senior year in a program at West Seattle High in the morning and then traveled to Franklin in the afternoon to continue her high school studies. She traveled on from school many nights to her job at the Big Wheel on Seattle’s Waterfront. It was a busy year for her and she’s happy to be taking time this summer to rest and enjoy family!
She gleams with pride as she has been accepted to Bothell UW this fall and will be attending classes to pursue her goal to achieve a nursing degree.
In D’Anya’s’ words: I want to work in the healthcare field, so I can care not only for people physically but mentally as well.” She wants to send a message that no matter what obstacles you are thrown, you can achieve what you want. It might take some adjustments in everyday life and setbacks, but you can do it!
